Now you know we don't like to fade into the shadows here at Postcards Home, and are always on the hunt for the punchiest prints and craziest colours, so it should come as little surprise that we are head-over-heels about our new jewellery collection from Melody G. It's just the injection of spirit and sunshine we were craving to power us into Spring and Summer. 

Artist and Designer Melody Grossman is the power behind the Melody G brand.  She discovered her signature style after graduating from a Fine Art Painting degree and exploring how she could combine digital art and wearable fashion. Her work blurs the genres to create products that are living, breathing pieces of art that work in your wardrobe and home, and open up the idea of gallery aesthetics.

Her designs are wonderfully whimsical and flat out fun - all handmade from scratch in her North London Studio, working from her own original print designs and translating them across a range of media. Surrounded by the bustling and demanding nature of London, she's determined to make some positive noise in the artistic community.

Melody is an artist who is totally committed to having a positive impact with all aspects of her work. She sources her materials locally when possible, for example her wooden pieces use materials from only sustainable woodlands (such as those certified with FSC or PEFC), and she is always looking for new ways to reduce her carbon footprint.

And it doesn't stop there, Melody donates a percentage of her total profits to Living Goods, a social enterprise which employs and empowers women in under-developed areas, by providing them with opportunities to run their own businesses and contribute to creating a self-sustaining society, providing jobs, money and healthcare products for those in need.
