How To Spoil Mum this Mother's Day

Hello! If the theme of Motherhood is triggering to you for whatever reason, we'd recommend you skip to another of our blog posts - take your pick from our archives here.

Mother's Day is just around the corner in the UK (Sunday 22nd March, pop it in your diary now), and we're taking a moment to celebrate all the many Mums in our lives - the Mums-to-Be, the new Mums, the Mums on our parenting team and our own Mums.
Being a Mum seems to be a pretty full on job with lots of lists, laughs and various wipes and tissues, so we wanted to offer up a few ways to treat the Mother in your life like the fabulous female force that she is, and show her how much all of her time and patience really means to you.
For the Mums-To-Be
Being pregnant can be magical, but it's mostly really hard work, pretty uncomfortable and a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. So why not take a moment to treat your pregnant partner or pal with some luxuries that might ease her for a moment, and let her pause to be excited about the little bundle on the way.
At a time of information overload, decorating the nursery, and, let's face it, naps, Mums-to-Be could really do with items like massage oils and scented candles to keep them comfy and calm.
We're big fans of the Mother's Massage Oil from Neal's Yard Remedies - and it must of course come with the offer of a soothing hands-on session. Absolute bliss.
For the New Mums
From what we've heard, being a new Mum is a tough old job, and one that gives you very little time to get dressed in those early days (and beyond). So treat those new Mums to a pair of pyjamas that they will feel great in, whatever the time of day.
Take a look at the punchy prints and patterns from pyjama company Desmond and Dempsey - we are in love with their totally tropical designs. They are beautiful, breathable and oh so comfy. We'd highly recommend twinning a set of D&D PJs with something tasty like a box of chocolates or some fresh fruit that can be munched instantly and easily.
For The Mum on Your Parenting Team
First and foremost, making sure Mum gets a lie-in on Mothering Sunday if at all possible is a must. Just an extra few minutes will make her feel like a Queen and be eternally grateful.
Then start the day by serving breakfast in bed just the way she likes it, with a beautiful bunch of Spring flowers and some reading material she can enjoy throughout the day.
Nail the card in advance by getting crafty to ensure the cute factor is ticked off. If you have a little babe - a footprint made into a heart is just the ticket, or if your gang is a little older, provide them with all the materials they need to create a foldable masterpiece.
For Your Own Mum
As time goes by, and life gets hectic, the gift of quality time together becomes one of the most precious. Book a lovely lunch, an Afternoon Tea or a night in a spa together and take time to talk and really catch up.
We love a bit of Mother's Day gifting and this year we're going for florals that last and planning to treat our Mums to something bright and beautiful from the new Indian Ocean Collection from Safomasi. We love Spring blooms so much we might even buddy up a bunch of daffodils with one of our Lily Flower Clutch Pouch.
Take a peek at our Mother's Day Gift List where we've brought together a collection of handmade jewellery, homeware and woven baskets that we think might be right up her street. Shower her with kisses and a gift or two, she's worth it.
So there we have it, Happy Mother's Day one and all!
