designjunction 2015 Highlights

Posted on

So much to pick from this year, but here are a few of our favourites:

Kirkby Design x Jon Burgerman Collection, featuring Ligne Roset

This collection of fabrics was a riot of colour and character that couldn't fail to catch your eye. There was even a wall to doodle on and a props box to play with.

Pop-up Wooden Underground Station by Camilla Barnard

The wooden tube station and the restaurant hosted by the East London Liquor Company beside it were used to showcase new TFL inspired design collections. We don't know what it is about replicas of things you are familiar with that is so exhilarating but the detail in the construction of the wooden tube station was enchanting. We also loved the TFL-inspired range from Coolicon Lighting with the tube map printed inside.

Leaf by Haberdashery

Golden leaves in a beautiful example of lighting design from Haberdashery.  It felt like walking into an enchanted forest when you passed under it and it satisfied our metallic cravings.

  • These beautiful leaves were the original and creative idea of Jasmin Moss Ceramics, which I own a similar commissioned installation.
Haberdashery is a large company who has pushed the artist out of the picture and sells it as their own creation.
