Cleaning Silver Jewellery the Eco Way

Over time all metals will tarnish. Keeping jewellery in an airtight environment, such as a zip lock bag is a great way to minimise this. 

If you want to restore the original shine of your sterling silver jewellery, we recommend this simple environmentally friendly way:

1. Put a sheet of aluminium foil in a saucepan or pyrex dish and place your jewellery on it

2. Add a large tea spoon of baking powder

3. Pour freshly boiled water into the pan, ensuring that all the jewellery is covered 

4. Mix gently with a wooden spoon for a couple of mins - the solution should fizz as the tarnish is removed

5. Remove the jewellery and rinse in tap water

6. Thoroughly dry and buff with a soft cloth
