Deep Blue Irregular Earrings - Fair Trade Earrings from Just Trade

Deep Blue Irregular Earrings

  • £2200

These striking earrings are made from tagua that has been dyed a deep blue and hand-carved by Magdelena of the MYA project in Ecuador, and fixed to silver plated ear hooks by Amy and Rachel from the fabulous Just Trade workshop in Peckham, London.

Each pair of earrings is the result of fair and empowering global collaboration and is truly unique.

'But, what is Tagua?' we hear you cry. Well, Tagua is a nut from a type of palm that grows in the South American jungle. Often known as 'vegetable ivory', it is a sustainable and completely environmentally sound alternative to animal ivory.

Get the complete look with this matching Deep Blue Irregular Double Necklace - just let us know if you'd like them gift-wrapped together.

Please note that due to the organic nature of the Tagua colours will vary from brighter blue to very dark blue, but they are all completely gorgeous.
