Gold Stitched Paper Bowl

  • £1000

Handcrafted in Eswatini using discarded magazine pages that have been layered together and stitched into place with simple black thread, this decorative bowl looks good and does good.

Each bowl tells its own story and is completely unique, with little words and letters peeking out through the design. A painted golden trim adds a stylish flair to this skilfully crafted piece, made by the wonderful women of Quazi Design, based in Eswatini

Quazi Design products start their life as trees, which are made into magazines, and then cut up by hand and crafted into unique pieces to continue their story. Each piece is handcrafted by local women, employing and empowering them through skill sharing so that they can earn a living wage.

Due to the delicate nature of these bowls we recommend them for light use only - they look great in the Autumn filled with pine cones, or around Christmas piled high with baubles. As each piece is handcrafted sizes may vary.
